We started off the leadership training with a bang! Exalted, an annual event held by Fire & Fragrance South Africa, was held on Octobaer 18th & 19th with over 2,000 people attending the event. Many also accepted the call to "go to the nations!" Exalted was preceded by what we called "flood week." The purpose of flood week was literally to flood the streets with the gospel! That Monday, I was able to go to a highschool with a team where we saw many young people give their lives to Christ! I had the absolute honor of leading three young ladies to the Lord! After this, we went and spoke in classrooms where I got to share an in-depth look at the gospel and what Jesus actually did for us when he died on the cross. I spoke for about 45 minutes with a short Q&A at the end. After this classtime ended a young man approached me and told me that he had previously torn his MCL. Which did not allow him to play soccer any longer. He continued to tell me that the discussion we just had in the class let him know that the hole he felt in his heart from losing soccer could actually be filled by Jesus. So of course I had to pray with him and he walked away with a smile while also full of hope. I also had the pleasure of going out with one of the ministries the FFSA (Fire & Fragrance South Africa) base has called "Woven." Woven specifically specilizes with gangster, prostitution, and less fortunate ministry. The street we specifically do ministry on is called Wandellaan. It was there that we were able to meet and minister to people. I was fortunate to go on Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday that week. We travel in teams of three. Typically two girls and one boy. On Wednesday, we saw a complete healing in a woman's left ear! She had previously had pain. The joy on her face was awesome and she already knew Jesus. On Thursday, we saw 1 salvation and I got to talk to a witch. I was very excited about this because I desire to see the captives of demonic possession and oppression set free! She didn't recieve deliverance in that moment but she did ask me to pray for her shop. Of which I was very happy to do! Every night leading into Exalted we gathered to celebrate what the Lord had done that day. We had some truly incredible and remarkable encounters with the Holy Spirit. Okay now we have to back track to Tuesday of that week. On this day I got to visit the townships with a group of people and minister the gospel house to house! During that short time we were able to plant two solid gospel seeds and even gained a brother in Christ with a salvation, when my buddy and I spoke of the story of Jesus, at the very end! Friday and Saturday of this week were set aside for Exalted! It was such an awesome event where Bethel Music and Upperroom's Michael Miller lead worship and spoke. The flood week stats were also remarkable! We saw 8,992 total people gathered to hear the gospel. Of that 1,815 people gave their lives to Christ! We also saw 389 people re-dedicate their lives and saw 117 healings. After this, I had the opportunity to once again go to highschools to set up a community youth worship night. I got to speak with a class for another 45 minutes and really got to connect with one another. We laughed and talked about the goodness of God together. Overall, the month of October was incredibly busy. In between all the ministry moments we were also having class and learning how to become better communicators. The schedule is jam-packed from Monday - Friday each week. I hope this litle blog post encourages and stirs your faith that the Lord is moving! Until next time keep following the leader, King Jesus.
